My parents got me a “Nook” for Christmas. It is Barnes and Nobles version of the “Kindle”. I finally registered it and set up an account and bought some books. This was the first one I bought, “Snowbird: The Rise and Fall of a Cocaine Smuggler”. It’s the story of a British National that flew for the Medillin Cartel. This guy flew everything from Twin Bonanzas to C-46s out of some of the wildest locales you can imagine. One strip in Colombia he describes even has a cemetery at the end where Gringo pilots were buried after crashing in overgrossed takeoff attempts. This book is only available electronically and I’m looking forward to finding more obscure titles to load this bad boy up with. The device is great also because you can download titles instantly by WiFi.
